February 27

I love when the moon is out during the daytime. I went outside around 4pm today & saw it nice & bright so I figured I'd give it a go in taking a photo with my digital. This is what I got at that time. This is really zoomed in as well. :-)

This is what I got around 5:45pm & it's not zoomed in at all. I also used the dawn/dusk setting on my digital & it made the sky REALLY blue! I still like it.

The view down my driveway

I liked how the sun came through the trees.
I really liked the effect of this one.

February 20

This is a photo of my Grandfather. He just turned 93 years old last month. We went down for his birthday party. My sister & I (and all our boys) went down again this week to help clean out his house. He now lives in a nearby nursing home. The shiner on his eye was from rolling over in bed & hitting the rail. Ouch! He had a HUGE black eye from that. He is still mobile. He has most of his mental functions, although we do say he's on a "4 minute loop." That seems to be about how long he remembers anything. In fact, I went to visit him on the 19th & the 20th. I saw him again on the 21st before I left to go home & I don't think he remembered seeing me the other two days, but he still knows me. He's a wonderful grandfather.

Day 46

Isn't he cute! He is fresh from his bath with his hair sticking
straight up. I just love it!

Day 45

I snapped this photo yesterday during the snowstorm. I'm not sure you can really see the snow falling, but I liked the affect. I loved that I caught the smoke from the chimney. This is my in-laws house. I took it from under my carport.

Day 32

These are two photos I had been meaning to take for some time. The first is of our state capitol building. I see it all the time while driving in the area & really have had no good place to stop & snap a quick photo. I took this one from the top of the parking garage while we were at the Maine State Museum.

The second photo is one of a steam engine near where my sister lives. Every time we go down to visit her my middle son asks to go see it. It's a tad bit out of the way & I will occasionally go by. We'll even pull in from time to time & get up close & personal. He loves it when we do that! This is also a working train yard & generally there are a lot of diesel engines & cars there. It's his favorite place to go.
