We spent the day listening to the Dino Pastor talk about creation and dinosaurs and the flood and fossils. It was wonderful and informative. The boys are posing by a water dino skull.

I'm a member of the TOS Homeschool Crew. It's fun but can be very overwhelming at times. I'm constantly juggling all the products I need to use in order to review them. The above photo shows current printed materials we're using or getting ready to use. What it doesn't show are all the online subscriptions we've been given as well along with all the ones we've received notice for (i.e. shipping out to us) but have yet to receive. Like I said, just a tad overwhelming. However, it's also been fun and a blessing. You can see a list of all the products I've used to date and those we are currently using in the side bar at my homeschooling blog. I try to keep it updated. Clicking on the link will take you to the publishers website. Clicking on the link for the TOS Homeschool Crew will take you to the Homeschool Crew Blog where you can reviews for all the products (even those I didn't receive) by all the Crew Members.

The gals greeting me. They know if I'm coming in, I'm bringing a snack. They got some corn scratch with oyster shells mixed in. Yummy - if you're a chicken.

The boys school papers. On the left is a story that B13 typed up & added clip art too. It's about a fox named Coconut and a Squirrel who have a snowball fight. The paper on the right is the graph J5 & I made today based on a package of M&M's. Yummy math!

School planning...blah! Although, while The Madsen Method looks totally intimidating, it's actually a completely scripted program. We are spending the next few months using this in order to do a review for the TOS Homeschool Crew. I am actually looking forward to it.

January 9th (Day #9/365)

I've been working at making it more of a habit to spend time with the Lord. Last  last year I began a Bible study at church which finished up at the end of November. In mid-November I began an online Bible with with wonderful accountability using the book Stepping Heavenward. We are also reading through the Psalms and Proverbs (up to Psalms 110-111) and keeping a journal. I am so enjoying this one. Then on January 1st, I started the Bibles in 90 Days program. I'm about 1-1/2 days behind in that reading. My defense is that I'm smack in the middle of Leviticus. That's a hard one to just read but I'm determined to get there.

January 8th (Day #8/365)

Despite the look on his face, I spent an enjoyable hour today taking photos of this little one. I snapped pics of him when he was a newborn too & was just blessed to take his three month photos. And he did look somewhat happy earlier on…see….

Snowball (who really does resemble her name I think) is getting her daily brushing. I think it's getting time for a haircut for her as well.

I noticed these icicles hanging off my rear view mirror while driving today. Of course, I did not have my camera with me but they stayed on the whole way & I snapped this when I got home. I love icicles. So pretty.

It's a New Year! (Day 1/365)

For two years I maintained this blog with daily photos - a Project 365. I committed to taking a photo every single day. Then last year I took a break. Well, in 2010 I'm back. Although, I keep forgetting today is January 1st so no photos to start other than this post. Here's to a new "Life in Pictures." I am going to try to capture the everyday of life here in rural Maine. I hope you enjoy it.

Okay - I couldn't NOT post a photo on the first day! So here it is....

I'm sitting here drinking a DMD and working on a blog post. And that book...THAT's what I should have been doing over Christmas break. It's the newest blog tour book & the post is due next week. Oops! Guess what I'll be doing this weekend?
